Jia Li serves as the Mandarin Coordinator for KS4 and KS5 at Bohunt School. She holds an MA in Applied Linguistics and has contributed to the UK's educational landscape since 2014 and started using the CLIL approach to teach Mandarin. In her current capacity, Jia's primary focus is on teaching and overseeing various Mandarin language programs, such as CLIL Mandarin teaching, CLIL Mandarin Drama curriculum design, GCSE, Cambridge Pre-U, A-level, and HSK.

Additionally, she fulfils the role of IB Mandarin coordinator at Bohunt School. Beyond her teaching responsibilities, she is the mentor for PGCE and ECT candidates, aiding in the training of aspiring educators. Furthermore, she actively engages in Mandarin teaching research, collaborating with colleagues in universities and peers to publish findings and insights. She co-authored research papers. She presented her findings on CLIL Mandarin teaching at the International CLIL Conference 2023. The research paper has been published, One of the research projects she was involved in focuses on A-level Mandarin teaching in the UK, which was sponsored by the British Academy Talent Award. In 2024, she is currently engaged in a research project regarding Mandarin teacher training programs.
