Once your application has been submitted

We aim to respond to all applications received within 5 days maximum.  If you have not heard from us, please check your spam email folder as often our emails will end up there in the first instance.

Successful applicants will be invited to one of our face to face recruitment days. Interviews take place at partnership schools within your chosen hub area.  Please note that due to the need to interview candidates as applications are received your interview location may not be held within the school in which you wish to train to teach. Please don't be discouraged by this, if you are successful at interview your hub team will work with you to ensure your training placement is in a school as local to your home as possible.

The interview will consist of:

  • a ten-minute activity teaching a new skill to the interview panel
  • activity follow-up questions;
  • formal interview questions;
  • a literacy task

You will also be required to present the following documentation:

  • Original degree certificate (prediction from course tutor if graduating post offer) and GCSE certificates for Mathematics and English (and a Science subject for Primary phase applicants) or equivalent.
  • Overseas qualification certificates - accompanied by an ENIC Statement of Comparability (if available at time of interview)

Once an offer has been made, candidates do not have to decide whether to accept or reject the place until they have had responses from all their provider choices.
